Every year, Schenectady BPW awards scholarships to girls and women in Schenectady County; who are either going to college for the first time, returning to their education after working or raising a family, or going to a trade school for higher education.
Our main fundraising event for scholarships in the past was our Annual Fashion Show and Woman of the Year Celebration but now we are planning evening events.
This year's event will be held on Friday, October 26, 2026 at 6:30 pm at The Edison Downtown, 132 Broadway, Schenectady, NY 12305.

A Night of 1,000 Lights, a special evening dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements, recognizing community leaders, and raising funds for scholarships that help young women pursue their educational and professional goals.
We are currently seeking sponsors to help make this event a success. Every sponsorship directly supports our scholarship program and our mission of empowering women in our community.
